Understood, but that's the only way I can buy jeans to fit me. My waist is high and short. If I were to wear jeans at my natural waist-line they'd come up to 3" below my breasts...which is both uncomfortable and unattractive. Before hip-huggers came out, I didn't wear jeans at all.

I can see that. I guess I never really considered the advantages of my low waist until I started wearing corsets. Heck, I never even noticed it. Nor where other womens' waists are.

For a long time I just thought all jeans were terribly uncomfortable and had no idea why anyone wore them...backpacking opened my eyes a little. It is very difficult (perhaps even impossible, I haven't managed it yet) to find a backpack to fit me. My current one is a child's size, and the hip belt still compresses my ribs uncomfortably. But, the weird body type is one of the reasons I got started sewing, which doesn't seem to be that unusual a reason.

And of course, I think you are divine in your construction of the corset. I've been fiddling around with some fashion ideas- and I can't find a place that makes waist cinchers that I like (and as I've stressed before, I simply cannot do boning.) Maybe you and I could get together over it? If you feel comfortable , that is.

I am always interested in sharing my growing love of corsets and corsetry. I'm not doing any sewing for other people right now, but if you're interested in learning yourself, I'd be happy to share my resources and (still immature) knowledge. I don't often have time to get together with people reliably, but I'm planning on having another sewing weekend at my house in the not-so-distant future, which you would be very welcome at.
